Is there any connection
Between my dream
and your passing?
In the night of
15th March 2021
(Dawn of 16th March 2021)
I saw a very big golden bird
In my dream, more like a big pigeon
Trying to enter my house
Time and again
I had made a small brick house
Where it was trying to rest.
I recollect this much.
After the day break
I was chatting with my son over phone
I told him about my dream
And said pigeons are good omen
And a golden pigeon in my dream
May be a sign of good fortune
Coming my way!
But alas!
Daniel Brick
You passed away on that Day?
When I correlate,
I can not believe it.
Our book is now half finished
Were you trying to say something?
You always said
Birds and angels are the same.
They connect the earth and heaven
I see you Angel, the Golden Bird
In my dream
May I fulfil your desire
To complete
The book of Friendship and poetry
I only seek your blessings!
11th May 2021
What? Are you saying that Daniel Brick has passed away? How did I miss that news?
Kim, at YOUR age, you probably 'miss' MANY things! ! Many of us, oldsters' probably do. : ))))))
a very beautifully sad and allegorical poem. If there is a Heaven, Daniel must be looking down at you and smiling, Such an unforgettable and sentimental work. Thank you. Be Blessed.
Yes, I wrote about him: He was the Moon among the stars, shining brighter and brighter. May his soul RIP.
I gave 4 stars for your dream & for our friendship, Bharati. bri : )
I'm guessing that in: 'I see you Angel, the Golden Bird In my dream' .....you meant 'your', not 'you'. AND you DID get your & D's book of poems published. Thanks for the copy you sent me. Bri : )
May his soul RIP. And i pray and encourage you to do finish the book which you two began together.
' Asim. You say a few words, and then step aside for the reader to take over. / Isn't it wonderful that through Poemhunter two poets as far apart as India and the U.S. can meet on common ground, and find their agreement on our human issues.
We always exchanged pleasantries and once Mr. Daniel wrote to me...Cont.
