Untimely Death Poem by Richard Wlodarski

Untimely Death

Rating: 5.0

I'm dead now
That I've seen
The obscene
I'm dead now
That I've heard
The absurd
I'm dead now
That I've smelled
The upheld
I'm dead now
That I taste
All the waste

I'm dead now
To feel
The unreal

There's something here that reminds me of Merton's visit to Thailand. I think he died in an accident in Thailand. Merton went to the country for a spiritual retreat, and I wonder what continues to attract visitors. So much to think about in this verse, Richard. Brilliant!
