Upside Down Poem by Frantz Guerrier

Upside Down

Rating: 5.0

While earthworms build their lives
Men are fighting to untie their belts
We keep killing ourselves across time
Until we transform life to a strange hell.

The world looks in real disarray
Extremists are searching for justice
They turn it to a big ashtray
Racists, then, cry down injustice.

Stands as a sole point of gravity,
Prejudice leads and shakes our society
It brings an ocean of crimes to drown us
And a continent of islands to live like wolves.

We smell blood and sorrow everywhere
When thugs and demagogues take power.

A masterpiece. In a short time, this poet flies with us around the world and explains most of the problems in that sonnet. I want to read more about this author.
