I felt it right to pen these lines
And wish you all sweet Valentines.
No doubt you'll all get quite a lot,
Sack-fulls brought by Postman Pat.
You'll scratch your heads and make a fuss
To know who wrote, anonymous,
A loving message all in rhyme
Better than this one of mine!
Why, thank you for the Valentine Card- -twas cute, twas funny, it rhymed a lot, and twas the only one I got so don't you put it down because something sweet is always better than nothing. You're a bright spot in a lot of person's lives.
The naughty version can be obtained, delivered in a plain envelope! But don't tell everybody!
And no I don't agree your poem might just be the best thing this Valentines :) Hehe and now you have me singing.. All the birds are singing, , , And the day is just beginning, ..Pat feels he's a really happy man.
Maybe because Pat got many cards too Probably more for Jess, though! Sounds like you have a start of a poem there, Sister Frances, You could set it to the music of Amarillo! So get that pen out!
This poem has not been translated into any other language yet.
I would like to translate this poem
Enjoyed the wit and humour and also well written
Thanks, Paul. Hope you got some nice ones! One I received years ago still has me scratching my head. Could have been a joke, of course! One day I'll send one to myself with just YOU ARE PERFECT on it. But I'd better wait till my memory gets really lousy. Then I'll forget I sent it!
