Vicar's Niece

Elderly vicar, shepherd to his flock, caring for souls
Living with wife and daughter, daily doing his best
Helping his community spreading the love of God.
Since death of his parents there was no communication
Between him and his two sisters and their families
Which he did not understand and caused much heartache.
One day came a phone call from the older sister
Saying her daughter, mother of three, was dying of cancer
And on her deathbed was asking to see her uncle.
He rushed to his niece who wanted his advice and help
Arranging her funeral service and cremation of her remains.
Her parents too overwhelmed with grief to manage.
The vicar, graceful soul, carried out his niece's wishes
Comforted her family giving them hope of Heaven.
