Victory Poem by sania harris

Victory

Armed with forces,
Lots of them on horses.
Ready to be shot rifles,
All in a row,
Waiting for victory,
Waiting for others to be history.
But why they wanted this was a mystery.
“Let the battle begin”,
Shouts the general.
The silence is broken,
The news is shocking,
Dust is rising,
Cries are deafening,
Love is faking,
Death- innocents are facing.
In search went I,
For the friend of mine.
Stopped me the general.
“Save your soul” he said.
But I was led by my mind;
I needed to go to my friend.
Found him I,
Lying on fresh green grass,
That was now red,
By the flowing blood.
“Jack, I knew you would come” he said.
Holding him on my shoulder,
I passed the border.
But by that time he was dead.
Love was faking,
Death- innocents were facing.
A bullet pierced through my body.
Life was no more considered precious.
Ah! My friends,
Oh! My foe,
WHY?
“Victory! ” I heard them scream.
All their faces filled with beam.
Well! That’s all what they wanted.
Love was faking,
Death- innocents were facing.
Where will they find a place?
In this hell of earth?
Where can they;
The innocents, rest in peace?
