View Upon A Dry And Easy Poem
(this is literally translated) by Sylvia Frances Chan
Evangelist, Dutch Poetess, Critic, and World-Traveler
on an island near the Red Sea
don't you have your darling with thee?
you only live for two now
I have to say
sad or wow? !
this is a poem for fun
just with my humble pen, sans my glorious gun
there behind you is a big deep hole,
let fall in, drop in, or jump into
if you're so fed up, your whole
on an island near the Red Sea
don't you have your darling with thee?
he didn't want to come with me
the water is too salty
he'd rather fly to the Red Canyons
beautiful view and smell of delicious baked onions
and so peaceful
you can live anywhere up there
very cozy and so much welfare
on this deep beautiful red earth
Well, baby, I'll be sitting comfortably by the Red Sea,
No, I ain't got my love with me
I'm alone on the whole island
This is what I put my heart to in this land
The Red Sea the salt water,
I can't swim, but I won't sink,
because the Red Sea is the only water where I will never drown
I will always sing of this artistic Red Sea,
I will sing a beautiful song of my own
always singing
and thanking,
I consider this a great gift from God,
I'm thankful I can swim here but never drown
all the people who swim in the Red Sea,
will float and never drown
like me
The Red Sea,
Is for me
God's gift!
