Voting Day... Poem by Melvina Germain

Voting Day...

Rating: 5.0

Did You Vote Today, I Didn't

My heart is almost breaking
I'm very sad to say
Today I had no choice
but to throw my vote away.

In my country you can vote for A but it goes to B. Thanks Melvina

Timeless poem- -for example, Joe Biden entered the Presidential race today, one day after Bernie Sanders saw his popularity ratings soar after being portrayed by Larry David on SNL. A primary vote for either of them could be a wasted one. Love the simplicity and nursery rhyme quality- -it's a nice juxtaposition from the complexity and gravity of politics.10

I did, I voted, just a few short hours ago....I'm watching the results coming in right now....no pessimism, no optimism...And you have me thinking about my vote, and was it thrown away?

I believe that in the US, for the most part, voting is throwing a vote away. Here are your poor choices; now choose.
