Come rain, come snow, or shine,
this neighborhood is mine.
I have to take my walk;
you'll see me on your block.
My doctor said I had to lose some weight,
so walking's how I chose to get it done.
Some days are good, some fair, but none are great.
It can be pleasant, but don't call it fun.
Thanks, Kim, for the photo, but it makes me think: 'Did my pal Kim lose five of those pounds in his left lower leg! ! ! ? ' I think shadows are partly the answer. Good for U, old-timer. : ))
I had to buy a shorter belt the other day. Didn't want to punch any more holes in the old one!
I have now walked 5 miles every day for the last 20 days. I would love to sleep in my own bed tonight, but I'm 100 miles from home!
15 pounds! ! In a month and a half? At that rate, in a year you will be a 'bag of bones, old ones', but feeling BETTER. Is the picture photoshopped/photochopped?
: Some days I walk the 1/2 mile down an inclined 'driveway/private road' to check our mailbox(es) , and back up again to bother PH members and eat peanut butter. Caring for 7 1/10 hogs gives me more exercise.

Walking is a great way to maintain overall health specially cardiovascular fitness and for strong bones. It seems you are having fun with your walk everyday, Kim. A wonderful and interesting poem excellently composed.
Rose Marie, thank you so much for the comment.
