Wanting Poem by Unnikrishnan Sivasankara Menon

Wanting

Rating: 5.0

Man is made of
Earth, Water, Fire
Atmosphere and Air

But science says
Two haploid gametes
Two incomplete cells
Merged together
To make me.

Maybe
They did not
Complement
Each other,
Left gaps.

Is that why
I still find me
Wanting?
