War Is Never An Answer! Poem by Angelina Pandian

War Is Never An Answer!

War begets - A conscious
Murder of men
It is the mother of Poverty
Because of destruction
Of all resources so long held
Curtsy the creation of man and God
It is a the death of Liberation, Peace
And democracy - It begets
Hatred in the minds of the subjugated
And leads to a legion of crimes
It is the cause of birth of secret movements
Which grow into terrorist groups
War is not the means to peace
Only Tolerance, Peace and Non-violence
Shall pave the way to a peaceful earth!

You have covered everything coming under the concept of war. Yes, a war produces poverty and refugees and terrorists. Their next generations lead an aimless life and war is the only final result. This is the plight. Mankind has yet to know that peace cannot be searched objectively but only subjectively. We try to correct this world for our conveniences but the final peace remains elusive because of our wrong path chosen. I wish any politician uttered the truth behind the concept of peace but as I can see they are not philosophers. They feel it is not their business to utter such Vedic truths. When the ruler is not a philosopher, the plight of the ruled is sad like this. What to do?
