I purchased a deck of cards,
Shuffling and splitting them so.
I broke them in, bending them so.
In the midst of the deck
There was a queen, a king and a joker.
The king, mighty and fierce commanded a fleet
of aces and spades. Hearts and clubs.
One mightier than the next in each suite he commanded.
With all his might he became selfish in greed.
Leaving discard for the Queen. Shuffled in someone elses hand.
The queen red with anger turned her back to his selfish ways.
Her back faced his unable to smile as cheerfully as she once did.
The joker spotted her grief and done his best to make her smile.
Her eyes batted with delight. Now Standing within arms reach of him.
When news got back to the king he grew enraged.
Searching the deck for them both. Betrayed.
A war broke out between the suites as the diamonds gave them shelter.
Protecting them as long as they could.
The king preluded them to the end of the deck.
Tossing aside two's, Four's, and six's,
She hid behind the joker in fear as they were the only cards left.
The king drew his sword demanding that the joker give the queen to him
immediately.
She sought shelter in the jokers arms as he was still humane.
The king stepped forward as the joker tried to reason.
The king lashed out, Bluffing.
Thinking that he'd won.
Not knowing that the joker had a twin.
Much more vibrant than he.
Much wilder.
He appeared riding his steed.
The king paused in amazement.
As he wondered who of all the cards would oppose him.
He immediately charged the vibrant joker.
Losing his head in battle.
As in the End the joker won
Reshuffling the deck in his favor
Beheading the king
