Was it worth it?
he asked as he softly closed the door behind him
with his large hands at the end of arms
corded with power and strength
.
Was it worth it?
he asked from behind her
with his barely-there touch
as soft as silken sin
.
Was it worth it?
he whispered softly in the darkness
lighting a candle
and looking at himself in the mirror
.
Was it worth it?
he asked, watching the candlelight
flickering over her soft skin
casting her with light and shadow
