Weakness - Poem by Lynzi Berner

I've heard it said
That
The weakness is in
The flesh

I don't know if I believe that

My weakness is in
My soul
Where you used to be

Gone
no goodbye
no note
nothing

Liars
The flesh is only a shell
you weakened my heart
and left me
wanting

They say the weakness
is in the flesh

I don't know if I believe that

Then I saw you
right in front of me
Flesh and bone
and I died

I believe now
