Welcome To My Arms (Attempt At Spanish Translation) Poem by Practicing Poetess

Welcome To My Arms (Attempt At Spanish Translation)

Rating: 5.0

Bienvenido a mis brazos una vez más,
Estas armas han anhelado sostener
El hombre que adoro.

Esperé tanto tiempo para estar contigo
Mientras el tiempo se arrastraba tan lento,
Me pregunto si lo sabías

Solo quiero ser tu chica
Y por el tiempo que tenemos,
Te haré mi mundo entero.

Sin distracciones, tiempo para compartir
Un espacio que es todo nuestro,
Para mostrarte que me importa.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I don't speak Spanish. I took French in secondary school.
But someone in my life who is very important to me, is Hispanic. So I am learning a few words and phrases here and there.
I translated my most recent poem into Spanish, with the help of a translator. I hope that it is accurate.
I welcome comments from people who DO speak Spanish!

Unfortunately, I know only French, not Spanish. But I hope that you will translate more poems, possibly into French, to give me company.

Thanks, Michael! Translating into French is more of a possibility for me, because I also took French in school (NOT Spanish!) But Google Translate was my friend and helper with the Spanish! A friend, who did take Spanish, proofread a line-by-line comparison of my English poem with the Spanish, and basically gave me the stamp of approval!

Very nice poem going on the little Spanish that I remember.

Thank you so much, Lamar! Your comment means a lot to me! I wondered if I was biting off more than I could chew by taking on the Spanish translation. One thing that I discovered is that your rhyming words in English DO NOT rhyme up in translation! Thanks again.
