Welcome Two Thousand Twenty-One Poem by Bernard F. Asuncion

Welcome Two Thousand Twenty-One

Welcome two thousand twenty-one,
In three hundred sixty-five days;
Both bad and good moments are gone,
With lessons left to human race.

Here comes two thousand twenty-one,
Bringing another episode;
Some battles are lost, some are won;
Man must go on, it's a long road.

Hello two thousand twenty-one,
This is the time to move forward;
As the dark night evades the dawn,
New morn shows light though life is hard.

Say goodbye to twenty twenty,
Leaving the bitterness behind;
Faith, hope, and love let humans be
Strong in heart, in soul, and in mind.

Face the world of both highs and lows,
With the better things to be done;
Cast the worse into the shadows,
Welcome two thousand twenty-one.
