What Makes Poets Write?
What makes us write?
Each poet has his own
Personal reasons,
But it is something
That comes from
Way deep, within,
A blind and mysterious
Feeling of intense
Rapture and Love
That's almost, a sin,
Not learned, but felt
Bettered, perhaps
By time and practice.
But like all art
Quite, unexplainable
Even to the artist.
How can you explain
A Rose that grows
In your heart,
But must surface
Come to full bloom,
To keep you,
From falling apart.
Very true, we all have our own reasons. But whatever it be we write to Express what we feel. A thoughtful poem.5**
