What’s Next? - Poem by Ahmad Shiddiqi

(dedicated to Edna Javelosa)

I turn left on that Lhasa’s corner
Uncle Sam’s tavern painted blue
A young violinist plays Salut d’Amour
Once upon a time in Steiermark
I do all my best to save you
Seagulls fly to East of Alexandria

(inspired by Whitesnake’s Is This Love)

i dunno what to say but maybe the name you dedicated this poem to is a mere coincidence? anyway, the poem is deep and picturesque..thanks for sharing.. (Report) Reply
