When songs were sang in heart,
In rhythm of emotions I was dancing:
It was love, right from the start;
Souls expressed coyly in glances…
Meaningful and true they seemed
To heart, directly speaking Love;
Suave and sweet my little dream:
Such joyful feeling brings—in love!
A soulful voice upon a musical key,
In tears my heart could break;
Or lying awake, in harmony
With starry nights; —romantic make.
Now-a-days, songs sing no more:
To ears, —annoying noise;
I have locked my heart behind the door:
It has bled enough! —I had no choice.
A lovely poem! .....Meaningful and true they seemed/To heart, directly speaking Love'....lucid expression...loved reading it....10
