When Swallows Grace The Morning Sky Poem by ANDREW BLAKEMORE

When Swallows Grace The Morning Sky

Rating: 5.0

When swallows grace the morning sky
Of summer's deepest blue,
As through the air they deftly fly
I'll always think of you.

Though years have passed so long ago
The times we shared true love,
For here we watched the flowers grow
And gazed at skies above.

And now that spring has come again
I know they'll soon be here,
But now they bring me only pain
I miss you so my dear.

Until the leaves from boughs shall part
And swallows fly away,
I'll love you so with all my heart
And think of you each day.
