As the evening falls
Fragrance of incense
Drifts across the street
Inside homes prayers
Are chanted and before
Gods earthen lamps are lit
As the evening falls
The cool wind comes
Blowing from the vales
And people sit on the
Verandah to talk about
Day's affairs and many tales
As the evening falls
Slowly silence spreads
Across the valleys deep
As darkness thickens
People close windows
And doors and fall asleep
Fragrance of incense drifts and Earthen lamps are lit at the evening time. You have amazingly perceived the evening. This poem is very brilliantly penned.
