When The Shoe Is On The Other Foot Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

When The Shoe Is On The Other Foot

Rating: 5.0

Grandma always said, 'Child when the shoe is on
the other foot it pinches,
that's how you to know if you're putting them on right.
and that 's how you know when it's your trouble and
not some body else's.'

Well, I understood what she meant about the shoe
pinching when it was on the wrong foot because
my feet would hurt every time I put them on as
a little girl 3 or 4 years old, and besides that,
my feet always pointed the wrong way. Grandma would
say 'Grin and bare it or learn how to walk through life
wearing the right shoe on the right foot and when you get
tired of your feet hurting you'll learn, yes you'll learn.'
