When The Storm Rolls Poem by Kayode Are

When The Storm Rolls

Rating: 5.0

The irate wear the garb of thunder
Raging and raving in turbulent anger
I don't grovel I don't grumble
Calmness strains against foible

The quarrelsome spoil for a fight
Pelting the righteous with odious slight
I don't grovel I don't grumble
Sanity strains against trouble

The mischievous acts as advocate
Twisting facts and logic to implicate
I don't grimace I don't growl
Fortitude blights emotional brawl

The crafty banter lies to subdue truth
Creating conditions which stifle growth
I don't despair I don't regress
Rage will succumb to irenic calmness.

Twisting facts! ! However, anger kills a fool. Thanks for sharing this poem with us.

Powerful and well articulated train of thoughts, nicely encapsulated and insightfully penned in poetic diction. A highly philosophical poem graced with lovely rhyme scheme. Thanks for sharing. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
