Many seek with greed
A worthy cause to bleed
Rooting for personal hoard
Plunder! in the name of God
Pastor milks the congregation
Mullah reigns by intimidation
Innocents bleed when fanatics whine
Mayhem! in the name of God
Prospectors braved raging seas
Won the natives and braved disease
Tilling gold while spreading the word
Fealty! in the name of God
See saints bigots and crooks
Seek divine spur for private needs
An endless wish list from every heart
Craving! in the name of God
Pastor milks the congregation Mullah reigns by intimidation Innocents bleed when fanatics whine Mayhem! in the name of God.. a reality of exploitation in the name of God. But we shall never forget there are also very many religious people who are really seeking God without a profit motive. thank you dear poet. tony
