When The Sun Shines Poem by Jayne Louise Davies

When The Sun Shines

Grey skies cloud my day,
Emotions get in my way.
When the sun shines on my face,
Wonderful reminders take place.
For its then I remember those days,
On the beach,
Upon the hills,
Summer frocks trimmed with pretty lace.
Birds singing merrily in the trees,
The hum of the bees.
Butterflies dancing in the warmth of the sun,
Just sharing moments with you,
My only one.
Those days of roses and smiles,
Every time the sun shines,
It takes me back,
Just for a while.
