We cheat ourselves first
Of our honesty
Our integrity
Our intelligence
Our conscience
Our goodness
Our principles
Our truthfulness
Our kindness.
In short
We betray our mind
Our friends
Our family
Our parents
Our soul
Our God
And become a dragon
Spewing fire
That inflames our throat
Our tongue
Our heart
Our lungs
Our innards
And destroy ourselves
Insidiously
Inside out.
