Whentheclockstruck One (For Children) Poem by Indira Renganathan

Whentheclockstruck One (For Children)

Rating: 4.3

When the clock struck one
The moon above the tree giggled
Scared mouse went up the clock
Held it tight not to strike again
A mid-night crow cried caw caw
At once a sleepy baby chick crowed
In fear to nudge a cock
Cock crowed thinking it was dawn
Feared mouse left the clock
Jumped away running
The freed clock started its
Ding-dong one to twelve
'What the time then? '..
The mouse was musing

Ding-dong one to twelve the clock struck and then struck to one. The moon above the tree giggled feeling the sensation of time with amazing notion. Mouse and crow produced sound as usual. But fearful mouse was musing hearing the sound. An amazing poem is very brilliantly penned basing upon the perception of children! ...10
