★ White Poplar Flowers
☆ Poetry by Liu Zongyuan (773-819, Tang Dynasty, China)
☆ Translation by Luo Zhihai (1954-, China)
White poplar flowers
When the wind blew they crossed the river
Let the palace trees lose colors
Waved sights and sounds of spring thousands of miles
It’s a long autumn under the vast sun at the dawn
Sorrow song continued and the crows flew up from the city walls

Once again, thank you sir. I so enjoy reading and learning about other cultures and your translations of your country's ancient poets delight me.
