White Swans (Haiku)
From my debut book "Fleeting Moments: haiku on nature"
a sunny spring day
pair of white swans are paddling
in a bluish pond
Lovely haiku, so expressive of a serene and loving sight of the animal world. Congratulations on your first book, and all the best wishes for more to come.
from my online research re Haiku, i'd say haiku is always supposed to be on a Nature topic. but people started writing 'haiku' about people (who i consider part of Nature) and now there is Senryu, sometimes called Human Haiku. i like swans, though i've never had one as a friend, and i like the poem. bri (:
