Who's Really Poor? Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Who's Really Poor?

Watching self-important people standing on bleachers,
looking down over the crowd, smug and thinking they're
above the middle class and poor people.

Yet, we keep on rocking to our own rhythms, standing
for freedom and liberty, thinking how totally poor
those on the bleachers are; almost feeling sorry for
them - almost.
