Worthless Teenage Girl - Poem by Erin Mcglothlan

Inside im crying,
Outside im smiling
You may not care,
But its hard for me to bare
The pain swelling inside me
Making me want to die

Thoughts of suicide always race through my head
Then comes the tears that i shed
You say you understand
And i just need a helping hand
That may be true
But first take a walk in my shoes
Depression, anger, and unbearable pain
You'll be taking a walk
through the valley of shame

As time moves slower,
My self-esteem drops lower
Am i nothing to this world?
Or just a worthless teenage girl?

Life is not perfect nor is it easy. There comes a time when we all realise that and it's normally at the hardest time - when we're going through big changes in life. Don't watch to many movies or TV because real life, family and love is not like any of that crap they show. Remember the saying 'what doesn't kill you makes you stronger' and READ more poetry to ralise that so many people feel the same way. Let your emotions flow out in words it really helps. Read some of mine such as Free Spirit to realise you are not the only one! ! ! ! Problems come in different shapes and forms and different stages in life. But you need to feel sadness and sorrow to appreciate happiness when it comes your way. Keep your chin up and your poems coming xo (Report) Reply
