You - Poem by kendra stevens
do you remember my name?
do you remember that day
at your friend's house
we hung out the whole time
laughing and joking while playing baseball
me on your team
you on mine
my class doesn't know about you
my friends might
at first you were invisible to me
until that day at your friends house
kudos to him then
I'd see you in the hall or at lunch
I'd smile and wave or mouth 'hi'
in return you'd give me a smile and approving head nod
do you feel that between us?
do you even remember my name?
