You Loved Me Before You Meet Me Poem by Meggie Gultiano

You Loved Me Before You Meet Me

Rating: 4.5

cover my scarlet lips with your kisses
i wanted to taste it like wine
i am breathless listening, savoring
you are my heartbeat

take me with you, we'll run away
to let lose, to be happy in love
you and me, against the world,
you and me, against my family

you have loved me before you meet me
you saw me dancing in the wind
laughing and singing
my eyes shine with so much love
filling the air with fragrance of my song

your warm embrace caught me by surprise
telling me i will be your wild flower in the dessert
your comfort in the scorching heat of the sun
promising to come back, and be your permanent bride

i love to sit beside you
your hands under my head caressing me
seeing my lovely face peacefully sleeping
ah, at last.. you wear my ring for eternity
