Young At Heart Poem by M.J. Lemon

Young At Heart

Rating: 5.0

Evil never feels old
He wakes up each morning
and after brushing
his teeth
and combing his hair
looks forward to
the tasks
that the supreme being
lays in his path

'Every day is
a great day, '
He'll say.
'I may be ancient
but
I'm young
at heart.' Nothing
can stop him.

If plans derail
his limbs flail
he won't acknowledge
the fail. 'No problem.
There's always another
tomorrow, ' He'll say.

Whether jumping
The Snake
or tearing flesh
from innocent newborn
Evil never feels old.

'Jumping the Snake' reminds me of Evel Knievel and his motorcycle exploits. Wasn't it the Snake River that he tried to jump over?

Indeed it was Evel who tried to Jump the Snake River Canyon. Thanks so much for reading about evil and Evel!

Thank you Susan! It is so unfortunate that enemy may seem so ordinary or common in appearance.

Even after years of experience we can live a life of denial by following after ancient deceptions.
