Your Gone - Poem by kelsey phillips

when you died it made it harder just to get through the day
now its like i have to climb a mountain just to see you
will i have the chance to find you

i remember sitting with you when you were sick in your bed
i couldnt stand seeing you like that
i took my hand and covered my eyes
and i lied there next to you

i was praying that you would make it through
but time flew you were gone
i remember you gasping for your breath
hoping it would just stop and pass

but it seemed like it kept lasting
then it came time you took your last breath
and you were gone
