Your Sweet Voice, My Child Poem by Rani Turton

Your Sweet Voice, My Child

Rating: 5.0

Your sweet voice, my child
Awakes me from deepest slumber
Speaks to me of trivial things
Tells me I am everything.

When you speak to me I know
That my love for you is deeper than
Any I have known; that your first breath
Gave me the justification
For all my worried journeying and that

Your sweet voice will always
Be the balm to this beating heart.

I know this feeling so well. There is no other sound on earth as welcome and sweet. Thanks for these lovely, quiet words..(smile)

It savors of plath like imagery in Morning song...it expresses a mother's love in all it's depths...

that your first breath Gave me the justification For all my worried journeying So easily I could relate to your thought process...It is so motherly....really liked it, Rani...
