Your Wish To Be Forgiven Is Granted Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Your Wish To Be Forgiven Is Granted

Expecting to be easily forgiven,
By someone who's life...
Has been effectively ruined,
By the telling of lies?
Your lies?

Try this...

Land in a space ship,
In broad daylight wherever that person lives.
Exit from it carrying a rainbow of colorful balloons.
And in your hand present them with a check,
For five million dollars.
And then cross your fingers 'hoping',
Your wish to be forgiven is granted.
