Zimbabwe Hyperinflation Poem by Phinda Mkhonta

Zimbabwe Hyperinflation

Rating: 5.0

I image the Zimbabweans dreams in Robert Mugabe’s face,
Robert Mugabe of fatal braveness, boldness and confidence,
Fatal eloquent Robert Mugabe is now mumbling in the mist of darkness,
Robert Mugabe has to push closely his spectacles to his eyes
To draw the veil across the sky of Zimbabweans stars of dreams,
Robert Mugabe set himself in a heavy yoke to teal the African soil
To reconstruct the frame of the real picture of pure Zimbabwe,
This is not just a crystal stair for Robert Mugabe.

Freedom from misery is not only a dream but must be real,
Though my poetic eyes, motion, imagination and ideal
I have a deal to strip off the cloud of fear zeal,
Such remedy in thought had shape our African dreams to a comedy,
Betrayal to loyalty had make Zimbabweans dreams a puzzle,
Africa and the world, Zimbabwe deserve freedom from hyperinflation
Set in action over our noble African land,
Let Robert Mugabe not enforce power over ignorant Africans blood,
Let Zimbabwe be the dream imaged in eyes of our ancestor’s anxiousness.

Zimbabwe is seeking for home and dry economical atmospheres,
Where herself free from economy striped to fatality,
Let the muscles of the Zim dollar rise back as a smoke
To the blanket of the sky of mass economic scale in Zimbabwe,
Let Zimbabwe to be the dream the dreamers dreamed,
Let Zimbabwe back to be a jam-packed country boiling
In African clay pot to split the herbs fluids of liberty, steam up peace;
Where liberty and peace can be crowned beyond ages of age,
Africans the pain in Zimbabwe is no idealistic but realistic.

African kings, presidents and diplomats
Do not sit down on Robert Mugabe’s feet and Zimbabweans
Stumbling block, Freedom belong to Africa,
Freedom of Africans is older than blood flow
In the African human veins.
As I refresh my wisdom after dawn,
My window was open down
Into the beauty of trees and flowers of nature,
It was as if I would see Robert Mugabe in speech
“Blair keep your England and help me keep my Zimbabwe”
It was as if I will see Zimbabwe passing through to peace and freedom,
As if the cracking rusting crash season passing through my window.

To Zimbabwe i envelop and send
Hope for frail new moon, to lead Zimbabwe to a new season
The season of true peace and happiness,
Wind will still beat to the trees of beauty will still breath Zimbabwe,
The light of truth will still intervene to separates brightness from darkness,
To you noble Zimbabwe stars with the sin of your million dreams will still shine
Moreover, spray your blanket sky,
To you Zimbabwe nature will still flow as we stand to see you free
