you asked me: who burned down the Parthenon and
killed all the stinging bees in America-
a wondrous conflagration, a
beautiful murder
who put holes in the Redwoods to
destroy personal Jesus' and
raped the New Sabines-
a sad excuse, a
dark revolution
and where are my children-
there are no woods to play in-
now in the streets with cigarettes,
stopping by convenient stores
on acid rain evenings?
