Explore Poets GO!
Aged 78, born Wellington, New Zealand. Retired Lawyer. Published in two leading Australian law journals.

Have been on this site for about four years.

One poem published in an Australian newspaper, and Wellington College Old Boys' magazine.

I find poetry stimulating, and relaxing. I'm keenly interested in the power of words to alter perceptions. I like didactic poetry, and blank verse. Occasional rhyme.
Popular Poems
Ode To Earth
Earth we salute you our blue
dot in space

unannounced from afar, spinning,
Mystical Sea Of Mind
Mystical sea of mind
Let me swim with black pearls
Tied to ruby orbs
Galaxy starred.
Dancing With Poetry
Poetry chose me
I had no choice
but to dance.
Human Trace
to be a nationality
we trivialize our beginnings
as humans we are the same
to add a name
Drums Start To Roll
At the end, we are so far
from the beginning.

We cannot see beyond

Robert is a tried and true poet. His writings are varied, concise, robust but also lined with an artistic elegance. Robert's writings cover many subjects and are informative as well as unique. His works are deep but also a pleasure to read and ponder over. Keep up the great work!
