Best Poem of David Linton

I couldn’t think of beauty defined
Till she came to mind
Her smile is so kind
Her illustrious aura would make any man blind
She’s as pure and white as a dove
I think I’ve undoubtedly been struck with love
But she’s captivated by another
A man I would consider to be my brother
I wouldn’t dare
It wouldn’t be fare
To destructively and violently tear
What was already there
All I see is lies and deceit
He doesn’t know the word discreet
He’s a basket of lies
From head to feet
But he has the one I love
I feel defeat.
