Dance For The Dead In Celebration
I long so, to dance, it's been a lifetime away,
My hips moving slowly to a rhomba beat,
The inevitable 'dip' shows what character I meet.
The look, the feel of the rhomba, now left for others sway.
the dance for me was sacred, nothing could still the beat,
Until one day I lost it, and now in depression so deep.
I wish the dance to be there one last time for me as I take my final rest,
to lure me to sweet slumber, hearing the beat, the laughter,
the celebration of a life lost, but so, so wishing someone had just taken the time.....to dance with me one final ...
