कलियुग ही क्यों?
सतयुग में भी तो हरिश्चंद्र
सत्य बोल कर कष्ट
सहा करते हैं.

कलियुग ही क्यों?
त्रेता में भी तो रावण
जन्म लिया करते हैं.

कलियुग ही क्यों?
द्वापर में भी दुर्योधन
कंस आदि उपजा करते हैं.

बेचारे कलियुग को ही क्यों
निंदा का पात्र
बनाया जाता है?

अंदर और बाहर
आज जितनी रोशनी है
उधार की नहीं
अपनी है.

जितनी कालिमा है
अधिकतर है उधार की -
कल की, परसों की, वर्षों की
संचित है.

    Duniya ajaab bazaar hai, kuch jinsiyan ki sath le,
    Neki ka badla nek hai, bad se badi ki baat le,
    mewa khila, mewa mile, Phal phool le, phal path le,
    Aaram de araam le, Dukh dard dey, aafat le

    Khaljug nahi, karjug hai ye yan din ko dey aur raat le
    kya khoob sauda naqdh hai is haath dey us haath le

    jo chahe le chal is ghadi, sab jinsiyan taiyaar hai
    aaraam mein aaraam hai, azaaar mein azaar hai
    duniya na jaan isko miya darya ki ye majdaar hai
    Auraon ka bedaa paar kar, tera bhi bedaa paar hai

    Khaljug nahi, karjug hai ye yan din ko dey aur raat le
    kya khoob sauda naqdh hai is haath dey us haath le

    karjug jo kuch karna hai ab ye dam tou koi aan hai
    nuksaan mein nuksaan hai ahsaan mein ahsaan hai
    toumaath mein yahan taumath lagay toufan mein toufaan hai
    Rahman ko Rahman hai Shaitaan ko shaitaan hai

    Khaljug nahi, karjug hai ye yan din ko dey aur raat le
    kya khoob sauda naqdh hai is haath dey us haath le

    Apne nafey ke wastey mat aur ka nuksaan kar
    tera bhi nuksaan hoyega is baat upar diyaan kar
    khana jo kha tou dekh kar pani piye tou chaan kar
    yan paun ko rak poonkh kar aur khauf se quzraan kar

    Khaljug nahi, karjug hai ye yan din ko dey aur raat le
    kya khoob sauda naqdh hai is haath dey us haath le

    Ghaflaat ki ye jaagir nahi yan sahib-e-idraak reh
    dilshad rak, dil shaad reh gham nak rak, gham nak reh
    har haal mein tu bhi Nazeer ab har khadaam ki khaq reh
    ye wo maakhaam hai O miyan.... yan pak reh be-baq reh

    bahut sundar rachna.....Insan apna karm bhi kaliyug pe hi thop de raha hai..........
    aur mujhe lagta hai thopna bhi chahiye kyunki ye kalyugi sabhyta manav ki hi upaj hai...........
    is liye jab koi kuchh kar de /ho jay............/ ham kahate hain are yar kaliyug hai..........
    matlab insan apni galati ko chhipane ke chakkar men jhund(mass) men chala jata hai......isi tarsh se yah ek lo-kok-ti ho gai........nece poem Sir.....10++

    very true....! ! actually, by blaming the age we find an excuse for our faults. when something bad happens we simply say, it happens in kaliyug! it's a widely travelled escape route!

    true...but in Kalyug..the enormity has become almost thousand times more...values are THERE otherwise humanity hadn't been alive....yet such tender hearts oozing milk of kindness is rare.....so we blame the age......people make or mar the age...otherwise it has nothing 2 do with morality..Thanks.     Verily, Harishchandra had to suffer in his period for the sake of truth,
    and even today man has to suffer for the sake of truth.

    Verily, Ravana was born and he portrayed his evil in his period,
    and even today, a barbarian is born who portrays his evil.

    Verily, Duryodhana and Kansa were born and they broke all bounds,
    and even today are born who cross all limits.

    Then, why the present period is cursed,
    and the past period praised.

    Verily, even today, we have humanity restored and sustained,
    Mahatmas like Anna Hazare to lead.

    Verily, a lovely poem indeed,
    Loved reading and commenting.
