A Classic Poet’s Soul In Modern Times Poem by L.P. Alexanders

A Classic Poet’s Soul In Modern Times

Rating: 5.0

Call me traditional or technologically impaired,
But to pen my poems I preferred
On a piece of paper
Than to type them on a computer
Because the pencil is to the poet as
The chisel is to the sculptor;
And this idea should come to pass
In the mind of every Art creator,
For in his hands and mind
Is the quintessential Art of any kind!

the pencil is to the poet as The chisel is to the sculptor... fantastic simile....and correctly said about a real poet that his art is in his hands and mind...I salute...thanks a lot for sharing

Your spirit, roaming free. despises the vessel of the screen, and poetry, the quintessential Art, stays from it not far apart- That's for every byte to see. Way to go, Alex! JCS
