A Father's Promise Poem by Rob Lamberton

A Father's Promise

Rating: 5.0

I will give you good gifts
I will tell you no lies
I will keep my promise
I will look into your eyes

I will always bring you comfort
I will always bring you cheer
I will always keep my promise
Where you are I will be near

I will never leave you empty
I will never withhold my hand
I will always bring you blessings
May you ever understand

A wonderful declaration of promises: love, abundance and comfort. Very encompassing. Beautifully narrated and expressed.

Being a parent is such an awesome and humbling responsibility! Only by the grace of God could I ever reflect His Fatherly attributes. In truth I've fallen far short and pray and trust that His faithfulness will carry my children through abundant and constant blessings!
