A Gift Bag Would Be Perfect Poem by Kewayne Wadley

I went shopping for the perfect gift.
I went to a couple of stores, even asked
other people their thoughts and opinions.
I was on the search for something tender.
something impossible to take your eyes off.
then it hit me.
the perfect gift that will show devotion.
a gentle touch to the eyes and heart.
I went back a couple of isles,
and grabbed some tissue and a gift bag.
I've never been good at wrapping gifts.
no matter how simple it seems, I always mess something up.
when I give you this bag, I hope that it makes your day.
wrapped in tissue and tied with a bow.
I don't know too many people that'll give someone their heart
like this.
carry it with you always and promise not to lose it.
