A Letter To The King Of The Netherlands.... Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

A Letter To The King Of The Netherlands....

Rating: 4.5

A Letter To The King Of The Netherlands….

Dear King Willem-Alexander,
I have to provide additional information here
that we think you are a very sporty person

in what way?

that you went back to the Netherlands yourself,
without being called by the vice-president,

your bags just put in Greece
and directly back again to the homeland with your family,

i'm imagining how that feels like,
the three young ladies already excited
for their vacation,
and had to come back abruptly,

your most appreciated deed:
your performance live on TV
about your mistake

that it is not right in the midst of just tightened corona rules,

the Dutch people have welcomed
your apologies

your sportive presentation
has made the Netherlands calm again,

and together we will resolutely fight
corona again,

together we can,
and not alone...

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
POET's NOTES:

Corona rules just been tightened, made stronger

the next day our King Willem-Alexander and family

flew to Greece for holidays

a reporter who was incidentally standing at the airport

saw the Royal airplane flying away

the reporter reported this

and the premier was asked

all he coud say was

"a miscalculation"

Dear King Willem-Alexander, king of the Netherlands is addressed very well in this poem from starting. He is a very sporty person and you have provided additional information. The Dutch people have welcomed his apologies. Mistakes should be admitted and rectified. King is very nice. This poem is amazing and brilliantly penned..5 stars.

That's the beauty, anybody can write such a letter to the King and he takes no time to apologise on a reporter's report.
