....mass
holiday specials,
jam the counters of
heedless treasures
Push and shove
break the line
Bargains galore, for
obsessive pressures
Santa's been flawed
to chimney swept hysteria
while old smelly socks
hang fragrantly inviting
Ho ho and ho be scrooged
for gifts never pleased....
same ole tie, toy or
diapered dry dolly
Moms cry for Peace,
while men sportly cheer
War sneers with death
during holiday gladness,
Masked with sorrow
Uniformed kids,
ne'er see th' morrow
Stop War!
Shop for World Peace
Love be plentiful and
freely bargained for.

the poem comes from a heart which has seen and understand.. we want similar things.
Stop War! Shop for World Peace Love be plentiful and freely bargained for..but where is the peace? wht are we striving for? ? ? ? years have been passed to live under constant fear and reprisals.... still it is not too late to long for... lovely poem....10 read mien what if to morrow.. hopes against hopes.. a place called home
What you have written in your poem is so true, to look out and see the way people treat each other. It saddens me
What we now expect for a christmas gift, is a box full of peace. But where can we buy peace? It has become rare. When people hear the Word Christmas, what they think is not about the God who came from the heavens to save the people but about the gifts that await them. It is believed that when people ask Santa for gifts, he grant it. But Santa is waiting for someone to ask for a gift of World Peace. No one has patience. The prayer they say is for them. They does not think about others. They work for their greed. A pure heart is nowhere to be seen. Now life is fast for humans. Their lifestyle is faster and busier than life. People may keep aside sometime for doing meditation for a little happiness from the mind of evil thoughts.

I am sincerely thankful to you all whom have commented. I have read some of each of your feelings concerning 'Faith'. Assured that there are many whom are cariing of others, and that Love and Peace commonly prevails. My concern that this dampening of holiday cheer poem would be offensive, Where empathy for others sets aside differerences of dogma and politics, we all will have learned, that we are family and that all life and Earth are similarly parental to us all.
