A Place Of Solitude Poem by David Harris

A Place Of Solitude

Rating: 5.0

Everyone has a place of solitude
where the world cannot invade.
Where we can sit in silence
and enjoy our own thoughts
away from everyone.
A park bench by a pond
dedicated to someone
who liked the view.
A church pew
where people sit
and ask god to see them through.
Everyone has their own place
that gives them peace of mind.
A place to rest their weary body
and leave
the rest of the world behind.
Their own space
a place of solitude.

Mine used to be the beach....but have moved away from walking distance to it....price of gas one can't afford the pleasure now.....so I have to settle for a walk by the Fairgrounds near me now...I get to see the horses when they are out...two have had foals...but I don't see them as much as the riding horses...still they take me away with there beauty....like watching big puppy dogs at play when they kick their heals up
