A poem has to be,
Carved out of heaven's head
Distilled with feeling,
Beauty, wed.
A poem has to be,
Alive and free
Full of love, respect, fraternity
For all that lives, for you and me
Embracing all of Humanity,
Soaring realms of fantasy
Where Love can live eternally,
A feeling that's called ecstasy,
That's all a poem has to be.
